Welcome to
Bollington
Footprints’ family day nursery in Bollington was opened in 2011, built on the grounds of Dean Valley Primary School, nestled in amongst the trees, we are proud of our second nursery and we enjoy the space of the secure grounds to play in! Our Bollington nursery has been designed with cosy, welcoming spaces to ensure your child feels at home with us.
The purpose-built facility accommodates a total of 56 children including babies, toddlers, tots and pre-school children. The approach to delivering care and education within a family environment mirrors the superlative standards that have been established so successfully at Footprints in Macclesfield.
Our Rooms
Your child develops through our rooms, find out more below…
- Babies
- 6 – 18 months
-
In our baby room we develop trusting relationships with the new babies and their families. We help the babies to feel safe and secure by making strong bonds, using information from their parents so we really get to know them. We plan and implement activities taking into account their interests and stage of development. Our babies are loved, happy and confident; they have strong bonds with their key person and all the staff in the room. They are confident and ready to transition into the Toddler Room.
-
- Toddlers
- 18 – 30 months
-
We sing and read every day; communication and language is embedded throughout all activities and daily routines. Adults model new language and question the toddlers according to their level of development and understanding. We support children to use words to express their feelings, run and climb independently using our outdoor area and local parks. Our toddlers are happy with an ever growing vocabulary, skills to express themselves and a confidence for physical exploration.
-
- Tots
- 30 – 36 months
-
In our Tots room we develop the Tots’ emotional, physical, communication and independence skills which in turn will help them to understand new emotions and feelings particularly during times of transition and change. Staff have an ongoing professional relationship with parents and an open dialogue. This allows staff to have an overview of home life and any current changes to then support our children at nursery. Our Tots are sociable and beginning to build meaningful friendships. They begin to express their own feelings and emotions and become more independent.
-
- Pre-school
- 36 months+
-
In our Pre School room we secure the foundations of learning and prepare our children for their primary school adventure. We encourage children’s physical independence by giving them time and opportunity to put on their coats and shoes and use the toilet; we also support parents with this. We continue to build on their communication and social skills allowing them the opportunity to solve problems and disagreements independently, but with an adult close by for support. Our Pre School children leave Footprints as confident and independent children with a love for learning.
